Cooking oil goes into almost every meal a family eats. So we make ours with care: pressed in wood, never blended, fortified with Vitamin A and D, and tested in our own lab. And we price it so that every household can afford it.

It starts with the seed.
We buy mustard seed from farmers, from mandis and from traders, including from Rajasthan, India's largest mustard-growing state. Every lot is checked before it goes into our kohlus, because careful pressing can't make up for poor seed.

Our plant near Roorkee crushes 36 tonnes of mustard seed a day. The part that crushes the seed is wood, as in a traditional ghani. The machines around it are modern, and filling and labelling run on an automated line. A 250 kW solar plant on our roof powers the work.

We also check that no rice bran oil has been mixed in (oryzanol test) and that the oil hasn't been chemically refined (soap test).
